why do people feel they are living in the last day's

I wonder why people do feeling they are living in the last day's. Most people are feeling living in the last day's because of the bible is saying what will be the sign to know when the last day's will began. Eventhough there are some people do not read the bible, they could predict or feeling the last day's is close because of how the world is turning into. The economy is so down and there's earthquake that happening countries after countries such as Haiti, Japon, China..etc..People are becoming afraid of those situations and predicting the world coming to in end. There are food shortages all over the world and wars. People are becoming sick with new disease and have no cure for those type of disease such as Cancer, Aids, HIV..etc...The most hardest time people is having right now is economy problems, they are loosing they houses and also could not find jobs. Those situations affect a lot of people even children. The best way to not get stressed about those causes is to work together and focusing in the future how can we make our lives better.
